Abstract: 

Background: Use of Computer has been increased during the recent years. There are numerous factors affecting Computer use in different organizations, while user’s involvement is among the most common influencing issues. The aim of the present study was to assess the relationship between Computer user involvement and Computer attitude and anxiety in community health centers. Materials and methods: It was a descriptive study. Totally, 319 nurses and staff working in community health centers were included. Data were collected using a questionnaire composed of 3 parts: Computer users' involvement, attitude towards the Computer, and Computer anxiety. Results: Results showed that most of the respondents, 86.8% were women and 11.6% were men. Most of the male candidates (42.9%) aged 45-54 years while most of the females (42.1%) aged 35-44 years. users' involvement induce a positive attitude towards the Computer (p<0.0001). Indeed, users' involvement could increase positive attitude toward Computer for patient care and patient confidentiality and can reduce Computer anxiety (p<0.05). Results have revealed that in the pretest analysis, most of the subjects had a moderate attitude and knowledge, however, following the education, most of the cases acquired suitable attitude and knowledge (p<0.001), while the differences among controls were not statistically significant. Conclusion: For providing successful implementation and development of Computerized information systems, user’s involvement is an important issue. Therefore, this factor should be considered by managers.

Abstract: 

Efficient distribution of service requests between fog and cloud nodes considering user mobility and fog nodes’ overload is an important issue of fog computing. This paper proposes a heuristic method for task placement considering the mobility of users, aiming to serve a higher number of requested services and minimize their response time. This method introduces a formula to overload prediction based on the entry-exit ratio of users and the estimated time required to perform current requests that are waiting in the queue of a fog node. Then, it provides a solution to avoid the predicted overloading of fog nodes by sending all delay-tolerant requests in the overloaded fog node’s queue to the cloud to reduce the time required for servicing delay-sensitive requests and to increase their acceptance rate. In addition, to prevent requests from being rejected when the mobile user leaves the coverage area of the current fog node, the requests in the current fog node’s queue will be transferred to the destination fog node. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method is effective in avoiding the overloading of the fog nodes and outperforms the existing methods in terms of response time and acceptance rate.

Abstract: 

Determining the limit of underground mining and stope layout is one of the most important points in underground mining and production planning. Numerous algorithms have been offered to address the stope layout optimization problem both in two-dimensional and threedimensional space based on economic value. In this paper, a new heuristic algorithm with different strategies was developed to generate optimal and sub-optimal underground stope layouts. In this algorithm, all possible stopes were created based on an entirely economic block model considering stope dimensions in the three-dimensional space. Afterward, the algorithm generated a family of non-overlapping stopes over all possible stopes and selected the highest economic value as the final solution. Also, a user-friendly Computer program named Stope Layout Optimizer (SLO3D) was designed in C# object-oriented program, and two separate examples were set for a better understanding of the algorithm. The application of the proposed Computer program was implemented on a real copper deposit, considering three different strategies. The final output consisted of 29 stopes with a value of US$ 37 million. The results proved that the new heuristic algorithm was able to increase the final economic value by 49. 04% compared to the floating stope method. Furthermore, the three proposed strategies were investigated for the same deposit. The results of this procedure illustrated that the probabilistic approach could generate higher economic values and sub-optimal values compared with the other two strategies discussed in previous studies regarding this issue.

Abstract: 

Background: Nowadays, children and teenagers easily access Computer games while parents are unaware of the dangers posed by excessive use of these games. The present study investigated the effect of educational intervention based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) on primary school boys’ aggression levels. Methods: This research was a randomized controlled trial. The sample size was determined to be 180 considering a confidence interval of 95% and test power of 90% (group 1=90, group 2=90). The sampling environment was a multi-stage cluster with four primary schools from two education districts in Shiraz City, Iran in 2013. The participants were evaluated once before the intervention and then one week and one month after the educational intervention. We used the aggression checklist (12 items) and a researcher-made questionnaire according to TPB theory, which has suitable validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using SPSS software, version 19. Results: There was no difference between the two groups before the intervention. After the education program, the 4 constructs of TPB, including attitude, perceived behavioral control, behavioral intentions, and behavior, increased in the intervention group compared to the control group (P<0.001). Conclusion: According to the findings, it seems that the educational intervention on mothers based on TPB leads to the reduction of aggressive behavior of elementary school students.

Abstract: 

Background and aims: Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a type of neurobehavioral disorder that is often associated with anxiety disorders and harms a person's performance in many areas, including academic performance, attention and concentration, and social communication. Studies have shown the role of some Computer games in improving attention, processing and classifying information. The present study investigates the effectiveness of a Computer training program on the anxiety of students with ADHD. Methods: This study had a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. A sample of 30 primary school students with ADHD was selected in Tehran (2021-2022). They were selected by available sampling method and randomly divided into two groups of 20 people (experimental and control groups). Both groups performed a pre- tested, and the experimental group underwent 24 sessions of 60 minutes for three months under the intervention of a Computer training program, and then for further investigation and follow-up, a follow-up test was conducted three months later for the experimental and control group. The data were analyzed through multivariate analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that the Computer training program had a positive effect on reducing the level of anxiety of students, and it was statistically significant (p˂, 0. 001). Conclusion: According to the data, the anxiety in the in the post-test and follow-up of the experimental group had a downward trend, and the average level of total anxiety of the experimental group has decreased compared to the control group.
